T. R. Knight Celebrates 10th Wedding Anniversary: ‘Never Dreamed This Could Happen in My Lifetime’

T. R. Knight is displaying his husband some love!

The Flight Attendant star, 50, marked his tenth wedding ceremony anniversary along with his “extraordinary” husband Patrick Leahy via a touching publish shared on Instagram Friday.

“Ten years in the past yesterday, I obtained married to this extraordinary man,” Knight wrote in his caption, sharing a photograph of himself and Leahy. “By no means dreamed this might occur in my lifetime.”

The actor continued, “We maintain near our hearts all those who by no means had- nor will have- this proper.”

Within the photograph, the pair leaned in in direction of one another and embraced whereas standing in a darkly lit room beside a window.

Knight married Leahy on Oct. 4, 2013, after three years of relationship.

The couple wed in a personal ceremony attended by household and mates, which included Knight’s former Gray’s Anatomy costars Katherine Heigl and Kate Walsh, a supply confirmed to PEOPLE on the time. 

Knight made his final public look with Leahy on the premiere of The Flight Attendant — by which he performs older brother Davey Bowden to Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) — in April 2022 in West Hollywood.

Again in 2020, the actor marked the tenth anniversary of the couple’s assembly as he posted cute selfies with Leahy taken throughout a stroll.

“Ten years in the past, @bridgeteverett @zshaffer1 and @jasoneagan made assembly this magnificent human doable. My purpose for the following ten? Maintain attempting to deserve him,” Knight sweetly wrote beside the photograph.

In March 2016, Knight shed extra gentle on married life offscreen as he spoke about lastly with the ability to tie the knot legally with the love of his life.

“To be allowed to be carrying this [wedding band] and have or not it’s authorized, that is unimaginable,” Knight informed HuffPost. “I am very grateful for that. There are lots of people who suffered enormously to ensure that me to have my story.”
