Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) has been the topic of a lot criticism since she teamed up with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), a small band of Republican rebels, and the whole thing of the Democratic caucus to take the speaker’s gavel away from Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
And now, her critics embrace her ex-communications director Natalie Johnson, who mocked Mace’s makes an attempt to defend and fundraise off of the position she performed in facilitating McCarthy’s ouster.
On Wednesday, Mace instructed CNN’s Kaitlan Collins that she is going to “usually make my selections by myself volition, I don’t take stress from the surface world or exterior teams typically. I’m not beholden to anybody, wherever, not in D.C. — I’m solely beholden to the folks — and I make selections on laws on votes typically by myself.”

Johnson once more bristled at her outdated boss after Mace posted an Instagram story linking to her web site with the caption “I’m not going to bend the knee to DC.”

Mace has been plagued by staffing points since coming into Congress in 2021. Ex-staffers have attributed these points to the best way that Mace and her senior employees “deal with folks.”
“It’s poisonous; it’s corrosive — the entire surroundings,” defined one former member of the Mace crew.
