CARSON, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California police officer who was a hero of the 2017 Las Vegas mass taking pictures died Wednesday when his bike was hit by a automotive on a Los Angeles-area freeway, authorities stated.

Manhattan Seashore Police Officer Chad Swanson was probably heading to work when the collision occurred shortly after 5 a.m. on Interstate 405 in Carson, in response to the California Freeway Patrol.
